Report: Quincy School District spent $11,023 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Quincy Public School District 172 was up 12.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Quincy Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Adams County school district spent $9,767 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,023 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 6,483 to 6,488 students over the same period.

Quincy's spending in 2019-20 was 23.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
