Quincy University Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 30

The Quincy University Hawks fell 84-81 at Pepsi Arena on Thursday (Dec 30) night.

In the final seven minutes of the game the Hawks never led by more than a possession and there were three ties in that span.

The Hawks surrendered the lead for the first time in the second half with 34 seconds to go when the Vikings made a deep three point shot and QU trailed 81-78.

Adam Moore responded by converting a contested three point shot from the near wing to tie the game at 81-81 with ten seconds left, but the Vikings dribbled the ball down the floor and hit a deep three pointer again with one second left which proved to be the game winner.
