Quincy Medical Group issued the following announcement on Apr. 15. 

Quincy Medical Group (QMG) clinics in Kahoka, MO, and Keokuk, IA, have been awarded recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home Program (PCMH). This recognition is evidence of QMG’s commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient-centered approach to care.

NCQA’s PCMH Recognition program is the most widely adopted PCMH evaluation program in the country. The PCMH is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. Research shows that PCMHs improve quality and the patient experience, and increase staff satisfaction—while reducing healthcare costs. Practices that earn recognition have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and a patient-centered approach to care.

NCQA’s PCMH Recognition program is the most widely adopted PCMH evaluation program in the country. To receive this recognition, QMG was required to complete criteria in six concept areas:

1. Team-based care and practice organization
2. Knowing and managing patients
3. Patient-centered access and continuity
4. Care management and support
5. Care coordination and care transitions
6. Performance measurement and quality improvement
