Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
So far, 43 members of the community have graduated from the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce’s Diversity & Inclusion Academy. They have learned how to identify and navigate their hidden biases, the difference between diversity and inclusion, how to begin the D&I journey at one’s company, how embracing D&I makes a positive impact on a company’s bottom line, and much more.
The third D&I Academy is set to begin on March 18. This Academy is 8 weeks long, including a graduation celebration on the final day. This is an interactive time of learning about diversity and inclusion. Come prepared to learn, grow, and be challenged.
The dates are: March 18, April 1, April 15, April 29, May 13, May 27, June 10, and graduation on June 17th. The Academy will be at Quincy Public Library, 526 Jersey St., from 8:45 am -12:00 p.m. The cost is $250 for Chamber members and $350 for non-members, and includes all materials needed.
