Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.
The Blessing Foundation helped a patient of Blessing Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit return to her home safely. A previously independent 70-year-old woman was in need of a ramp after an ankle fracture and other health conditions affected her mobility. The patient enlisted the help of family and friends to build the ramp, but at over $1,000, the material cost was a barrier. Her Blessing Hospital care coordinator reached out to the Blessing Foundation, that barrier was addressed and now the patient can safely return to her home.
