Recycle

City of Quincy issued the following announcement on April 12.

In order to accommodate customers who wish to opt-in to the City of Quincy Recycling program, the City of Quincy Utilities Department will offer extended hours for those who are not able to sign-up during normal business hours. The Utilities Department will be open until 7:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019, and will be open on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 9:00 AM until Noon. Customers should bring proper identification with them.

The City's new opt-in recycling program begins May 1st. Customers who would like to continue to have recycling service will be billed a monthly charge of $5 for one recycle tote. If customers would like an additional tote, they will pay a one-time fee of $7. Decals will be given to be placed on the existing bins.

Any resident who does not wish to continue recycling may place their orange recycling containers on the right-of-way and city crews will pick them up.
