BLESSING HEALTH SYSTEM: BPS cardiologist Eliot Nissenbaum, MD, is giving us a special #heartmonth concert in the Blessing Hospital Moorman Pavilion

Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.

BPS cardiologist Eliot Nissenbaum, MD, is giving us a special #heartmonth concert in the Blessing Hospital Moorman Pavilion

Dr. Nissenbaum was on a path to be a professional concert pianist until he followed his heart into a career in medicine. Dr. Nissenbaum began playing the piano at three years old. He plays a style of music known as virtuoso piano. Made famous by pianists including Liberace - the virtuoso piano style is a lost art. It is played lightning fast, is very technical and difficult and packed with power.

Dr. Nissenbaum plays as often as he can – but not to relax. He plays to challenge him¬self. When his performance is mistake-free, he feels wonderful. If he strikes the wrong keys, he is frustrated. Dr. Nissenbaum says in that way his two loves – virtuoso piano music and cardiology - are the same for him; the goal is perfection.
