Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Jan. 28.
Illini Community Hospital will be open as a public warming center during this week’s expected forecast of extremely cold temperatures. The hospital is located at 640 W. Washington Street in Pittsfield, open 24 hours a day.
Those needing to access the hospital for warming center purposes will be directed to the Laboratory/Radiology Waiting Area to rest.
Any additional updates regarding changes to hospital operations during this week’s expected cold temperatures will be broadcast to our local media outlets, the Illini Community Hospital Facebook page, and online at www.blessinghealth.org/weather.
