Report: Quincy spent $10,546 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Quincy Public School District 172 is up 13.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Quincy Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Adams County school district spent $9,255 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,546 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 6452 to 6469.

Quincy's spending in 2017-18 was 20.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
