Cost of college went up for all students at Quincy University

Tuition and fees rose 2.4 percent for 2017-18 at Quincy University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $27,770 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $642 more than the $27,128 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 277 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.74 million and 230 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.56 million.

Including all undergraduates, 981 students used grants or scholarships totaling $20.43 million. Another 837 took out $5.67 million in federal student loans.
