Call to Order and Roll Call
The Southeastern Community Unit District #337 Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, August 9, 2021 in the Board of Education Office (Room #123) in Augusta, Illinois. John Eilers, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call verified that there was a quorum of the Board of Education with the following members present and absent as listed below:

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Winters, the Board of Education approved the agenda items as presented.

On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Winters, the Board of Education approved the minutes from the July 26, 2021 board meeting.

Public Participation
Two guests spoke to the board regarding return to school guidelines. One student thanked Mr. Fox, the administration, and the board for everything they do for students.

Superintendent Fox reviewed the FY2022 tentative budget.
On a motion by Member Hitz and a second by Member Winters, the Board of Education approved the Fiscal Year 2022 Tentative Budget –as presented.

Informational Items
Superintendent Fox gave ESSER update.
Superintendent Fox reviewed the current vehicle fleet.
Superintendent Fox presented the current enrollment numbers plus the last three years.
Superintendent Fox reviewed the 2021-2022 Open Positions.
Superintendent Fox discussed the superintendent transition.
No Administrative reports were given.
On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Hitz, the Board of Education moved into closed session at 7:39 p.m. for the purpose of the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students; and discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under the Open Meetings Act, whether for purposes of school board approval of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as required by the Act.
