Report: Central spent $8,657 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Central Community Unit School District 3 is up 1.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Quincy Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Adams County school district spent $8,521 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,657 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 858 to 874.

Central's spending in 2017-18 was 35.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
