Betsey Hobbs was recognized on April 1 with the Blessing Health System’s ICARE Award for Excellence, acknowledging her dedication to quality, service, and leadership.

Hobbs serves as the executive assistant to the president and chief executive officer and is also the team lead in the Administration department. She was nominated for consistently showing exceptional performance and embodying Blessing’s values in her daily work, often behind the scenes.

Her nomination described her as someone who “exemplifies the ICARE value of Excellence through her unwavering commitment to quality, precision, and service both within our organization and beyond.” The nomination also highlighted her reliability, deep institutional knowledge, and proactive approach. It stated that she “anticipates needs, handles competing priorities with grace, and elevates the performance of those around her simply by setting a high standard.”

A focus on Hobbs’ volunteerism was shared during her award presentation. She dedicates time to hospice patients where she “sits at the bedside of patients in their final moments, offering comfort through song or scripture.” Her nomination noted that this service “reflects the same level of care and dedication she brings to her role every day in serving others with dignity, empathy, and grace.”

Blessing Health System employees can nominate coworkers for this recognition based on demonstration of one of its ICARE values: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect or Excellence.

The health system expressed appreciation to Hobbs for exemplifying excellence and living these values each day.
