Adams County Board Public Health & Safety Committee met Jan. 13.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Overseeing; Sheriff, Emergency Management, Ambulance, Coroner, and the Veterans Advisory Commission.
Present: Mark Sorensen, Kieth Calloway, Barb Fletcher, Steve McQueen, and Brent Fischer. Also attending; Paul Havermale, John Simon, and Jessica Frese
Absent: Tony Grootens, and Scott Graham
The meeting was called to order at 5:34pm
There were no speakers
Minutes of August meeting were approved. Motion by Barb Fletcher, seconded by Mark Sorensen. Passed unanimously.
Bills were reviewed and appeared to be in order.
Department Reports:
• VAC: Paul Havermale provided data from each of the years the VAC has been in existence, as well as overall numbers. Data showed great growth and proved for the investment the County has invested there have been great returns.
• Sheriff: No verbal report
• Coroner: No verbal report
• Ambulance: Covered under new business.
New Business:
Ambulance: John Simon shared information about the new program, Mobile Integrated Health, which was from the opioid money, the County Board previously approved.
It has begun and have already had 67 referrals. They are still working through the process how everything is going to function and estimate workload, before they make any new releases promoting for mentioning program.

The next facilities will be Camp Point and Mendon. It appears there have also been discussions with Payson. There is a possibility of adding a forth location. John shared they will be doing some more research and collecting data. The ambulance board will be a part of that as well and when decided, will be given an update of decisions.
